I am a mother and grandmother of a blended family with five children and five grandchildren scattered all over the United States. I’ve lived in New Fairfield since 1986 and my husband, John McCartney, joined me here in 2004. I am currently a member of the Connecticut Siting Council. I was privileged to serve New Fairfield as a Selectman for six years. Prior to that, I worked for IBM for 31 years, and as an environmental lawyer before that. I enjoy gardening, reading, being involved with my grandchildren, walking our dog (Misha) and helping out our local community through the Community Service Club and other efforts.
Jeannie Miller
Treasurer
Jeannie Miller serves as the Treasurer for the CSC and has been a member since 2022. Having moved to New Fairfield a few years earlier, she was interested in getting involved in her new town. She enjoys meeting people, and serving the town, through the CSC activities.

Jeannie and her husband Mike raised their 3 boys in Lagrange, NY. The boys, their wives, and 5 grandchildren live in New York and visit often.
Since her recent retirement, from the IT department in Boehringer Ingelheim, Jeannie enjoys kayaking, DIY home projects, and walking her miniature poodle.
Barbara Mora

Barbara Morawas born in New York City and has called New Fairfield home for the past eight years. For over 25 years, she has dedicated her work to bringing low vision aids to those who need them most, serving the community through Eschenbach Optik of America with compassion and care. Her commitment has touched countless lives, helping people maintain independence and quality of life. Faith, creativity, and family are central to Barbara’s world. She is an active member of her church and loves spending time creating art that reflects her spirit and joy. Above all, her greatest happiness comes from her family, especially her three grandchildren, who are the light of her life. She studied Communications at Pratt Institute in NYC as well as Western Connecticut State University.
Danette Onofrio
Public Relations
Danette Onofrio is heading up our public relations.

Having moved to New Fairfield over a decade ago, Danette has busied herself running her consulting business, caring for her late husband, and engaged in various hobbies, such as gardening, cooking and advocacy.
​
Danette has always had a passion about volunteering, so she serves on the New Fairfield Public Library Board, as a member of the CSC, Women's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield and the Friends of the New Fairfield Library.
What Danette loves most are her friends and family, lifelong learning and acquirement new skills and making a difference in people's lives. Oh...and she loves going out to nice restaurants to eat.
Jeanne Sacrider
Former President/Mentor
Jeanne Sacrider serves as the President of the CSC of New Fairfield. She has been a member of the CSC for ten years. Jeanne enjoys all the activities we do and how the group gives back to our town, especially people in need.

Jeanne and her husband, Gary, have lived in New Fairfield most of their lives, a place where they raised their three children. She has been a bus driver for many years and loves it. And, she likes to meet people and enjoys talking to everyone.

Jeanne has been on the softball, volleyball, and soccer leagues in town for years. She enjoys walks on trails, the ocean shoreline, bird watching, puzzles, arts & crafts, dancing and lots of music too.
